Dehradun, June 14:
In a step toward strengthening Uttarakhand’s film production ecosystem, the honorable Chief Minister of uttarakhand met today with Mr. Jaswant Singh Rawat, Founder of JSR Group, and his elder son Mr. Tarun Rawat Vice chairman of JSR Group and founder JSR Production house accompanied by Swami Darshan Bharti ji with his daughter Prerna Singh Panwar ji.
The conversation revolved around a self sustained film industry, film facilitation centers, film schools, Post production studios, getting all the grips and gears, all technical and educational support under the planned film city/Studios/educational centers by JSR Group .
The CM Office heard concerns around on-ground challenges faced by producers — such as lack of accessible studio infrastructure and the need for smoother production logistics. They discussed the potential of Uttarakhand as a long-term hub for film and media projects in India providing more opportunities and employment to the locals of uttarakhand.
“It was a fruitful and brief conversation, we are glad that the state is listening and have a very active and knowledgable honorable Chief Minister Mr. Pushkar Singh Dhami who is not only considering futuristic and progressive ideas, but to small fixes that can make a big difference for people trying to create a better cinema and to promote the regional independent cinema of the state ,” said (Mr. Tarun Rawat)
The government acknowledged the importance of engaging directly with industry stakeholders with the given proposal and affirmed its ongoing commitment to making Uttarakhand the next film capital of India which would be more production-friendly for both local and foreign creators.
